Spencer Kobren speaks with IAHRS accepted member Dr. Glenn Charles about the importance of being honest with prospective hair transplant patents even if that means losing the “sale.” Remember, hair transplant surgery is not a one size fits all procedure, so if you’re considering surgery be armed with the information you need to make truly informed decisions.
IAHRS accepted member Dr. Glenn Charles calls in to discuss his opinions on the latest iteration of the ARTAS robot. The guys also touch on the very apparent overall decline in quality control of the newer hair transplant practices who choose to allow technicians to perform the majority of the surgeries with little or no surgeon supervision.
Spencer Kobren speaks with IAHRS accepted member Dr. Glenn Charles about the future of surgical hair restoration, and if robotic devices like The ARTAS hair transplant system might someday make hair transplantation a more universally accepted treatment for common androgenic alopecia. Will removing some of the human variables that exist today produce more consistent and reproducible results? Only time will tell, but there is no doubt that if a device can be manufactured that reduces the chance of human error, while helping to produce truly refined cosmetic results, this will be a true game changer.
Note: We had sound card issues during the recording of this live broadcast. The audio levels are a bit off, but the broadcast is certainly listenable. That’s the beauty of live internet broadcasting, you never know what’s going to happen.:) Enjoy
