Social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace, Stickam and Ning, have evolved into powerful hubs for people of all ages to share news, views and information, but it’s the explosion of quality online video that has become the driving force behind the exponential growth of these sites in the past two years.
According to Nielson.com, time spent viewing online video on social networking sites was up 98% in 2009. When asked about the recent stats, Nelison’s VP of Media Analytics, Jon Gibs said, “During the past year, online video viewing has become central to the Web experience.
